The Geochemistry Program at Colorado School of Mines is an interdisciplinary graduate degree-granting program. Degrees offered include the Professional Master’s Degree in Environmental Geochemistry (a non-thesis option), and both the Master’s of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.
The Program is comprised of faculty from the Department of Geology and Geological Engineering, the Department of Chemistry and Geochemistry, and the Division of Environmental Science and Engineering.
The Program integrates course offerings to provide coverage of present and future needs for students in geochemistry in a comprehensive and efficient way. Students are “resident” in the Department/Division in which they feel most comfortable (generally in accordance with their undergraduate interests and qualifications). The research advisor may be from any Department/Division, regardless of the student’s home status.
Feel free to contact any of the participating faculty about their research interests and availability of projects and funding.
